Programs: Meetings are usually held on the second Friday of the month at 7:00 p.m. every month from September through June. Meetings generally consist of a short business meeting, a feature program, and a social hour with refreshments. Speakers are the best available in the Civil War community. Many of the best speakers are members of the Round Table. Occasionally, the date and time vary, so be sure to check the "Calendar of Events" page. Meetings are usually held at the Guilderland Public Library, 2228 Western Avenue, Guilderland, NY. Again, occasionally, the location of the meeting is changed, so be sure to check the "Calendar of Events" page for the meeting location.

Spring and Fall Banquets: Twice yearly we present nationally recognized Civil War authors and experts as speakers at our Annual Spring ("Cabin Fever") Banquet in March or April and our Annual Fall Banquet in November. Guest speakers have included Ed Bearss, Brian Pohanka, Mark Nesbitt, Clark "Bud" Hall, John Hennessey, A. Wilson Greene, Robert K. Krick, and William "Jack" Davis, to name just a few.

Fall Field Trip: Each fall (usually over the Columbus Day Weekend) we tour some major battlefield with the leading experts on the sites. Recent trips include Fredericksburg/Chancellorsville, Shiloh, Richmond/Petersburg, Chickamauga/Chattanooga/Atlanta, Brandy Station, Antietam/Harpers Ferry, Gettysburg, Bull Run, and Petersburg/Appomattox.

Spring Field Trip: In March 2000 & 2001 we made a weekend field trip to Gettysburg. In April 2002 we took a trip to Antietam. In April 2004 we toured The Wilderness & Spotsylvania battlefields.

Newsletter: We publish a monthly newsletter from September to June entitled "The Dispatch" which is filled with information about upcoming events sponsored by the Round Table as well as other Capital District happenings of related interest. If you'd like a free copy of "The Dispatch" please write to the address below.

Preservation: We actively advocate the preservation of sites related to Civil War history. Since 1985 we have raised over $250,000 for various preservation causes, to become one of the nation's most active and productive Round Tables. See the "Preservation News" page.
